FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How can I get a ticket?
Free tickets for the promenade performances on the City Walls and for the covered seating area in Guildhall Square can be booked here. You can, of course, come to the Square without a ticket – and take your chances on a ‘first come first serve’ basis – to enjoy the festival, the LegenDerry Food Market, the family fun and watch the big screens.
Is Entry to the festival free?
YES! Book your FREE tickets here and you’re in!
Is this a family friendly event?
Absolutely – family fun is at the core of this event. There will be many activities in Guildhall Square such as face painting, balloon modelling and all festival family favourites!
What type of tickets are available?
- Guildhall Grandstand – Book a comfortable covered seat in our grandstand. Watch the big screen as WCP presenters report live in front of you, interacting in real time with the story unfolding on the Walls. The final scene is also presented live in Guildhall Square.
- Walk the Walls – This is an immersive experience that puts you at the very heart of the show. You follow the story, literally, along the Walls. Walking through each scene, sometimes interacting with what’s happening, shaping the mood, atmosphere and story. You need to have energy and enthusiasm but the reward is a unique theatrical experience.
Do I need a ticket to attend?
No. You only need a ticket to either accompany the show along the Walls or
to be seated in the grandstand in Guildhall Square (see ‘What type of tickets are available?’ above). There is a limited capacity allowed on site, so people without tickets will be admitted on a ‘first come first serve’ basis. Without a ticket you won’t be allocated a seat but you will be able to view and enjoy the show from start to finish while standing in Guildhall Square.
Will there be food and drink?
We are delighted to welcome LegendDerry Foods to Guildhall Square, so you can sample the best of local food and drink.
