EASTER FESTIVAL - THE PASSION REIMAGINED, LIVE!

WHAT IS WALLED CITY PASSION?
Walled City Passion is an exciting new Festival and modern re-telling of the Easter story staged along the Walls of Derry and in Guildhall Square. Creating an electrifying event for all the family and told through live streaming and performance, this unique and dynamic production will be staged twice daily at 12:30pm & 4:30pm on Thursday 14th, Friday 15th & Saturday 16th April.

How do I get tickets?

Free tickets for the promenade performances on the City Walls and for the covered seating area in Guildhall Square can be booked on our website (SEE BELOW). You can, of course, come to the Square without a ticket – and take your chances on a ‘first come first serve’ basis – to enjoy the festival, the LegenDerry Food Market, the family fun and watch the big screens.

How do I watch Walled City Passion?

You can attend Walled City Passion and watch live on the big screens in Guildhall Square and Waterloo Place. It will also be streamed live on the BBC and RTÉ players at 4.30pm on Good Friday, and will be televised on RTÉ One on Easter Sunday night at 10.30pm. Performances can also be viewed on our own social media channels.

Family Event

Bring the kids and come down and enjoy free face-painters and balloon artists at Walled City Passion, which is running a fun and friendly family festival in Guildhall Square on 14th , 15th and 16th April from 11.30am to 6.30pm. Be the first to experience this dynamic new production of the city walls.

Televised Live

Walled City Passion will be broadcast live on RTÉ Player and BBC iPlayer at 4:30pm on Good Friday - 15th April. A one-hour television 'special' of Walled City Passion will be screened on RTÉ One on Easter Sunday at 10:30pm

Live Performance

Walled City Passion is staged as a live, promenade performance on the famous city walls of Derry/Londonderry. Follow the 60-strong cast and crew as the show moves along the walls from St Columb's Cathedral, over Bishop Gate and onto Grand Parade before ending in Guildhall Square. The 75 minute immersive theatre event will offer a very exciting and intimate experience of the story of the Passion.
