OUR VISION

Imagine the Easter story happening today – and imagine it happening against the backdrop of Derry~Londonderry’s famous 400-year-old walls. That’s the vision that Walled City Passion will bring to Guildhall Square, and to audiences online, as the city hosts an exciting, multi-platform reimagination of Christ’s Passion. This free and ambitious three-day event is the newest addition to Derry’s ever-expanding festival calendar.

Written by renowned Londonderry playwright, Jonathan Burgess, Walled City Passion presents the ancient Easter story as never before to an increasingly secular and tech-savvy public.
